Field Type

Field Types are the primitive data types of the Ibexa content model. Each Field Definition inside a Content Type specifies which Field Type stores the data, what settings constrain it, and whether the value must be provided per language.

Ibexa ships more than 20 built-in Field Types. Custom Field Types can implement any storage, indexing, and rendering logic as Symfony services — making the platform fully extensible without forking the core.
