RichText

The RichText Field Type stores content as DocBook XML, a semantic markup format that is presentation-independent. The same value can render as HTML in a browser, as structured data in a JSON API response, or as a plain-text excerpt in search snippets.

Ibexa's Online Editor renders the XML as a WYSIWYG toolbar. Developers can register custom tags — footnotes, call-out boxes, interactive charts — that appear in the editor palette and are rendered through configurable Twig templates.
