Translator Agent
Quable’s PIM Translator Agent translates the localisable attributes of the products you select, from a source language to a target language, and writes them only once you approve.
Tell the agent what you need, for example “Translate this selection from UK English to Austrian German”. It reads the localizable attributes of each selected product, such as name, description and selling points, and fills the Austrian German ones. On a selection of three products, that’s three products translated in one go.
It only touches what needs translating. An attribute that is empty in the target language gets filled. An attribute that holds the wrong language, like an English description sitting in the German field, gets replaced. Anything already correct in the target language is left alone.
Codes are never translated. SKUs, EANs, colour references like “RAL 7016” and option codes such as “waterproof_yes” stay exactly as they are, so your data keeps working in every system downstream.
Nothing is written before you approve, and you get a clear summary of what was translated, what was skipped and why.
How it works
- Scope from your selection: [tool_name] reads the products you selected and compares the source and target language for each localizable attribute.
- Only what’s needed: attributes that are empty or in the wrong language in the target are translated. Attributes already correct are not touched.
- Codes stay untouched: identifiers, references and option codes are recognised and left as they are.
- Approval before apply: you review the proposed translations per product, and the agent writes them to the catalogue only after you approve.
- Structured report: status, source language, target language, products updated, attributes translated, attributes skipped, assumptions and blockers.
